Your context. Your agents.
Create a separate key for each agent. Choose what it can read, set an expiration, and revoke access whenever you want. Agents cannot change or delete your records.
Source data also needs AI permission in your account settings. Diaries with deleted or disallowed sources are excluded from agent reads.

Connect with MCP
The local Subthread MCP connector gives compatible agents tools to query your timeline, notes, diaries, tasks, and dates. Your key controls which tools can return data.
From the Subthread project, run npm --prefix packages/mcp ci. Add a local MCP server with node as the command and the absolute path to packages/mcp/src/index.mjs as its argument. Set SUBTHREAD_AGENT_TOKEN in its secret environment settings.
Node.js 22 or newer. The connector calls www.subthread.ai. Direct integrations can use the same key as a Bearer credential under /api/agent/v1.
